A native of California, Richard Fuller has been photographing the beauty of his natural surroundings since first picking up his grandfather's Kodak Retina III in the Sierra at the age of thirteen. Two years later, on a trip to San Felipe, he captured a sunrise over the Gulf of California (mostly by accident) with that same camera. That sunrise was a spark that ignited Richard's passion for photography.

Inspired by his love of the outdoors and photographers like David Muench, Eric Meola, Dan Merkel, and of course Ansel Adams, He saved enough money to buy his first camera (a Nikon FM). In his senior year of high school he began his basic photography instruction at Pasadena City College.

Frustrated with his job at the time, he decided that if he was going to put so much time and effort into something that would take up most of his life, he should be doing something he loves. With that path chosen, he moved from his home town of Temple City to attend school at Brooks Institute where he graduated with honors as an illustration/advertising photography major.

During Richard's studies at Brooks, Fuller Image was created and he eventually worked as a freelance commercial photographer shooting for clients including; Bristol Meyers, IBM, Treasure Island, The Territory Ahead, Danaher, and Patagonia. He still provides product and commercial photography services to his valued clients. However, ever since his first jump at Lake Elsinore in 1991, his eyes have been in the sky and he often comments on how fortunate he is to be able to combine his passion for photography, and love of flying.

Lately, his emphasis has been on creating dynamic still images of all that the sport of skydiving has to offer. He strives to create photographs that bring something to the viewer's eyes that has not been seen before and images that convey a sense of motion.
